This province is the home to the Philippine Eagle, the waling-waling, and Mt. Apo, the country’s tallest top. The harmony between the nearby provinces and the inspiration of its cultural and ethnic ties has made the city the Mindanao window.
Located in southeast corner of Mindanao, it is famous for its plentiful resources and innate beauty. It is included five provinces namely Davao City, Compostela Valley, Davao Oriental, del Sur, and Davao del Norte. Together they make up Region XI.
This province is a leading producer of gold, as well as silicon, copper, silver, and elemental sulfur. Davao is the prominent township on Mindanao and the largest on the continent of Asia in land area at roughly 244,000 ha. In 2000, the city had a 1,147,116 population. It is the Region XI’s center and it is one of numerous cities, which are separate from other province.
There are different spots to attend and things to see and do in Davao. With some adjacent greens like the Lanang Golf and Country Club, New Davao City Golf Club, and Apo Golf and Country Club, it is the ideal destination to practice golf.
