Philippine is a popular tourist destination in South Asia and has a tourism industry, almost equally as large as those of Singapore and Malaysia. Although most of the country was discovered and developed by the Spanish colonialists, Philippines, the archipelago, is now an independent state comprising of over 7000 islands. Each summer holiday season, thousands of travelers and tourists cash flights to Philippines in order to get to this part of Asia.
Cultural difference in the country is in a stark contrast. Where the residents of the larger cities, like Manila, are highly westernized and advanced, the people living in tribal areas or smaller town have taken every possible step to avoid loosing their cultural heritage. However, the increasing effects of westernization are still prevalent all over the country. This is mainly due to an immense influence from the west and large amounts of westerners visiting the country frequently. With the increase in demand, cheap flights to Philippines are thus easily available.
